LREC Meets with Congressional Candidate Mark Tedford at OAEC

Lake Region Electric Cooperative leaders recently visited the Oklahoma Association of Electric Cooperatives (OAEC) to meet with congressional candidate and State Representative Mark Tedford. Tedford met with electric cooperative leaders to discuss his vision and aspirations for serving at the federal level, while also hearing from cooperative representatives about issues affecting Oklahoma’s electric cooperatives and the rural communities they serve. Tedford is currently serving his second term in the Oklahoma House of Representatives, representing House District 69. He was first elected to the Oklahoma Legislature in 2022.

Meetings like this provide Lake Region and other electric cooperatives an important opportunity to engage with policymakers and candidates, share the cooperative perspective, and discuss issues that can impact the ability of electric cooperatives to continue providing safe, reliable, and affordable electricity to their members. Lake Region appreciates Rep. Tedford for taking the time to visit with Oklahoma’s electric cooperative leaders and learn more about the needs and priorities of the communities we serve.

Lake Region representatives in attendance included Walter Pigeon, Mike Reagen, Glen Clark, Jerry Latty, Mark Squyres and Larry Mattes.
