A Heartfelt Thank You from Grace United Church
Our Lake Region Electric Cooperative crews have been met with an incredible amount of kindness and support from members and communities throughout our service territory during the August storm recovery efforts. One meaningful gesture came from the Sunday School and youth classes at Grace United Church, who took the time to create handwritten thank-you cards for line crews who worked to restore power following the storms. The church recognized crews from Lake Region Electric Cooperative, Ozarks Electric Cooperative, and the many mutual aid and contract crews who stepped in to help during restoration. Their message thanked the men and women who worked long hours in extreme heat and challenging conditions, often spending days away from their own families to help restore power to others.
For our linemen, gestures like these mean more than you might realize. Storm restoration requires long days, difficult working conditions, and time away from home. A handwritten card, a kind word, a bottle of water, or a simple “thank you” can provide a much-needed reminder that their hard work is seen and appreciated. We are incredibly grateful to the Sunday School and youth classes at Grace United Church for taking the time to think of our crews and show them some love. We also extend our thanks to the many members, churches, businesses, and community organizations that supported our employees throughout the restoration effort. At Lake Region Electric Cooperative, we are honored to serve communities that take care of one another, especially when times are difficult.
To Grace United Church and everyone who has shown kindness to our crews: thank you for reminding them just how appreciated they are.
