2026 Annual Meeting Results

The 77th Lake Region Electric Cooperative (LREC) Drive-Through Annual Meeting was a resounding success today. Favorable weather and smooth traffic flow contributed to an efficient and positive experience for all attendees.

LREC saw an impressive turnout, with 1,924 members registering and actively participating in the cooperative’s governance. This has set a new attendance record. Member engagement was strong as participants cast their votes to elect two trustees who will represent the membership on the LREC Board of Trustees for the next three years. A business quorum was met, with more than 5% of registered members registered.

In the trustee election, four candidates competed for two open positions. Following the official vote tally conducted during the business meeting, Alan Vann and Lynn Lamons received the highest number of votes and were elected to serve on the LREC Board of Trustees. The election is conducted on an at-large basis, with the top two vote-getters securing the available seats.

LREC extends its appreciation to all members and employees who participated and helped make this year’s annual meeting a success!

Furthermore, the membership approved last year's business meeting minutes. As a token of appreciation, all registered members who participated in the voting process received a $30 bill credit.

The grand prize of $1,000 went to Jenessa Schmitt of Peggs, Porter Nell of Hulbert secured $500, and Christena Phillips of Porter won $250. These lucky winners can anticipate receiving their cash prizes next week. Below is a comprehensive list of all prize recipients.
