Youth Tour 2026
Lake Region Electric Cooperative is proud to recognize its 2026 Oklahoma Youth Tour delegates who recently returned from an unforgettable journey to Washington, D.C.
Representing LREC:
- Cameron Atwell – Sequoyah High School
- Adriana Ledezma – Porter High School
- Levi Kirk – Hulbert High School
These outstanding students joined 70 delegates from electric cooperatives across Oklahoma for a week filled with leadership development, civic engagement, and once-in-a-lifetime experiences. Throughout the trip, delegates explored our nation's monuments, memorials, museums, and historic landmarks while gaining a deeper understanding of American history and government. They also spent time on Capitol Hill, meeting with Congressional staff and learning firsthand about public service, leadership, and the legislative process.
What begins as a group of strangers often becomes a network of lifelong friendships and connections. Along the way, students learned the value of teamwork, adaptability, and leadership while sharing experiences with peers from communities across Oklahoma. As America celebrates its 250th anniversary, this year's Youth Tour offered a unique opportunity for students to walk the streets where so much of our nation's story has unfolded. The experience provided a meaningful look at the freedoms, opportunities, and responsibilities that come with citizenship.
Cameron, Levi, and Adriana represented Lake Region Electric Cooperative, their schools, and their communities with excellence. Their character, leadership, and enthusiasm made us proud every step of the way. Congratulations to these remarkable students on their participation in the 2026 Oklahoma Youth Tour. We look forward to seeing all they accomplish in the years ahead and are confident they will continue making a positive impact wherever their journeys take them.
