Lake Region Helps Spread Holiday Cheer in Hulbert and Fort Gibson

Fort Gibson Christmas Parade

Lake Region was proud to take part in the Fort Gibson Christmas Parade on December 5, joining the community for an evening filled with holiday spirit and hometown pride. Lake Region employees showed their support for this cherished tradition by participating in the parade and celebrating alongside families and friends who lined the streets to welcome the season. Events like these reflect Lake Region's ongoing commitment to the communities we serve and our appreciation for the traditions that bring neighbors together.

Hulbert Christmas Celebration

Hulbert truly knows how to bring Christmas to town. From a festive parade to joyful community gatherings, December 6 was filled with holiday magic, warmth, and togetherness. Lake Region Electric Cooperative was honored to be part of such a special celebration and to share in the joy that filled the community. The Lake Region team, along with everyone’s favorite mascot, Willie Wirehand, joined the Hulbert Christmas Parade to help spread Christmas cheer. A decorated Lake Region Fiber truck added extra seasonal sparkle, and Willie Wirehand’s special appearances brought smiles and excitement to families lining the parade route.

Beyond the parade, Hulbert transformed into a small-town winter wonderland during its all-day celebration. Lake Region employees volunteered their time throughout the day to support events that brought the community together. Kierstin Adair took part in Cookies and Cocoa, Phylis Johnson helped deck the halls for the Festival of Trees, JuaNita Keener served as a judge for the Miss Christmas Hulbert Pageant, and Larry Mattes warmed hearts and bellies by cooking a pot of chili for the Chili Cook-Off.

Concern for the Community

These celebrations showcased the creativity, teamwork, and community pride that define our cooperative family. Guided by the seventh cooperative principle, Concern for the Community, Lake Region Electric Cooperative is proud to support local holiday traditions and the people who make our area such a wonderful place to live, work, and celebrate.

Merry Christmas from all your friends at Lake Region.
