Lake Region Students Stay Fully Charged at Energy Camp

This year, Lake Region Electric Cooperative's Youth Services Coordinator, JuaNita Keener, attended Energy Camp alongside three students from Lake Region territory. Throughout the week, campers explored the many ways electric cooperatives power our communities while gaining valuable leadership experience and making new connections.

From live-line demonstrations and electric vehicle showcases to leadership sessions and squad challenges, students had the opportunity to learn about the electric industry in an engaging, hands-on environment. Campers also enjoyed plenty of fun along the way, including a neon dance party that helped keep the excitement going all week long.

Energy Camp provides students with a unique opportunity to learn about the cooperative difference, develop leadership skills, build friendships and gain a better understanding of how electricity powers everyday life.

Lake Region is proud to support programs like Energy Camp that invest in the next generation of community leaders. We appreciate OAEC's continued commitment to educating and inspiring Oklahoma's youth through this outstanding program.
