Lake Region Proudly Supports Special Olympics Summer Games
Oklahoma’s electric cooperatives have a longstanding tradition of supporting the Special Olympics Summer Games, and Lake Region is proud to be part of this meaningful effort each year. The Special Olympics Summer Games are a celebration of determination, courage, and achievement, bringing together incredible athletes from across the state to compete, connect, and shine. This year, nearly 100 electric cooperative volunteers were on-site each day helping support the games, cheering on competitors, assisting with events, and making sure athletes have the encouragement they deserve. Lake Region is honored to stand alongside our fellow cooperatives in support of this incredible tradition.
The athletes competing in the Special Olympics Summer Games embody perseverance, strength, and joy in a way that leaves a lasting impact on everyone around them. Their stories remind us of the power of determination, the importance of community, and the joy that comes from celebrating one another’s accomplishments. At Lake Region, supporting the communities we serve is at the heart of what we do, and opportunities like this reflect the cooperative spirit of service and concern for community that guide our mission every day.
