Lake Region Participates in Shoot for the Nations Fundraiser

Lake Region Electric Cooperative was proud to participate in the annual Shoot for the Nations fundraiser on September 25, hosted by the Oklahoma Association of Electric Cooperatives (OAEC) and the Oklahoma Energy Trails Foundation. The sporting clays event brings together electric cooperative employees, industry partners and community leaders to raise funds for projects that help bring electricity to underserved communities around the world. Lake Region CEO Glen Clark was joined by employees Michael Snyman, Cale Orman, Levi Carson and Mark Squyres, who represented the cooperative at the event. Lake Region was also honored to have Senators Julie McIntosh and Tom Woods participate alongside our team.

This year's event raised an impressive $74,233 to support international electrification efforts. One of the seven cooperative principles, Cooperation Among Cooperatives, emphasizes the importance of working together to serve our members and strengthen communities. Shoot for the Nations is a great example of that principle in action, bringing cooperatives together to make a difference beyond their local service areas. Lake Region is proud to support initiatives that improve lives through access to electricity. Thank you to OAEC, the Oklahoma Energy Trails Foundation, our participating employees and everyone who helped make this year's event a success!
