Lake Region Hosts Wagoner Enrichment Group for a Fun-Filled Learning Experience
Lake Region Electric Cooperative was excited to welcome nearly 150 students, parents, and teachers from Wagoner Public Schools’ enrichment group for a morning packed with learning and hands-on fun! Students in grades 3–5 had the opportunity to explore both the conveniences and safety considerations of electricity.
Throughout the visit, students learned how Lake Region’s dedicated crews keep the power flowing behind every light switch, no matter the hour, weather, or day of the week. They witnessed a pole-top rescue, watched a live safety demonstration, and even got hands-on experience with real equipment used by our linemen in the field.
A special highlight of the morning was meeting Willie Wiredhand, the cooperative’s beloved mascot, and celebrating his early 75th birthday!
