Lake Region Electric Shares Safety Tips with Fort Gibson 4-H Club ⚡️
Recently, Lake Region Electric Cooperative team members Mohamed Bassime, Safety Coordinator, and Jon Enkey, Manager of Operations, had the pleasure of visiting the Fort Gibson 4-H Club to share one of the most important lessons in our industry: staying safe around electricity.
The students were eager to learn and asked thoughtful questions throughout the visit. They also got a firsthand look at a live safety demonstration, giving them practical insights into how to stay safe both at home and in their communities.
In return, the 4-H members shared the meaning behind their organization’s guiding principles: Head, Heart, Hands, and Health. This exchange highlighted a shared commitment between 4-H and electric cooperatives—focusing on education, leadership, and building stronger rural communities.
Visits like these are a perfect example of how Lake Region Electric Cooperative engages with the next generation, providing valuable knowledge while learning from the energy and enthusiasm of our young community members.
By teaching safety, sharing expertise, and fostering curiosity, both 4-H and electric cooperatives are helping to empower students to grow into safe, informed, and responsible community leaders.
