Lake Region Electric Joins Grand View School and Boys & Girls Club for Lights On Literacy Event
Lake Region Electric Cooperative was honored to take part in the After-School Lights On Literacy event, hosted by Grand View School and the Boys & Girls Club of Tahlequah. The event brought students together for an afternoon of reading, learning, and fun.
LREC Lineman Trent Elliott read Cat and Duck Electric Safety, written and illustrated by Patrick Wood, to the students. Beyond reading, Trent took time to teach students important safety tips, including what to do if they ever encounter a downed power line.
The students were engaged and excited, making it a memorable event for everyone involved. Lake Region Electric is grateful for the invitation and proud to support programs that combine literacy, education, and safety awareness for local youth.
