Hulbert High School Students Explore Careers at Lake Region
Lake Region Electric Cooperative and Lake Region Technology & Communications recently had the pleasure of welcoming approximately 45 freshmen from Hulbert High School to our Hulbert Headquarters for a day of career exploration and hands-on learning.
As part of their ICAP curriculum, students toured our facilities to gain a better understanding of the work we do every day to serve our members. The visit included a Co-op 101 presentation, an inside look at our operations, and an outdoor pole-top demonstration that gave students a close-up view of the skills and safety practices required by our crews in the field.
Experiences like this help bridge the gap between the classroom and real-world careers, giving students valuable insight into opportunities available in both the electric and fiber industries right here in their community.
We would like to extend a special thank you to Hulbert High School counselor Marcella Hofsculte for coordinating the visit and helping make this experience possible for students.
At Lake Region, we are proud to support youth programs and educational initiatives throughout the year. We believe strong communities start with strong schools, and partnerships like this play an important role in preparing the next generation for future success.
This visit reflects Cooperative Principle #5, Education, Training, and Information, and Cooperative Principle #7, Concern for Community. By sharing knowledge and real-world experiences, we are helping build a stronger future for the communities we serve.
