Teen Driver Safety Week: Stay Safe Around Power Lines

Help your teen stay safe behind the wheel — and around electricity. If they’re in an accident involving a power pole: ✅ Stay in the vehicle and call 911. ✅ Warn others to stay at least 50 feet away. ✅ Remember — power lines don’t have to spark or move to be dangerous. Always assume they’re energized.

Best Bets for Winter Savings

With colder weather comes increased electric use. Here are some tips to help you stay warm while saving money during these cold snaps. Small changes can make a big difference! Stay warm and save this season.

1.4 Million in Capital Credits Returned

You already know you are a member, not a customer, of LREC. You are also an owner of the cooperative. LREC is a not-for-profit cooperative owned by the members it serves. We do not earn excess profits for investors and shareholders. Our rates are set to recoup the costs of operating the cooperative, meet debt obligations, and re-invest in the electric distribution system. Operating margins are created when our revenues exceed our operating expenses during a specific year.

UNLIMITED DATA

LRTC has moved away from data caps on our internet plans for both residential and business internet plans. Pricing will stay the same. Lake Region subscribers will reap the benefits of the new unlimited data. Our customers will no longer have to worry about data cap slowing down their speed or overage fees. Internet usage is necessary for our customers to work, educate, and entertain from the comfort of their homes. Customers will not see any data caps published on any pricing information moving forward.
